Let me explain the current situation. Starting from version 3.03, we made 17 betas of it. 3.03 is totally different from all previous version, because it have completely new multithreaded download protocol. During last 4 month we fix most errors of it, and the last two betas, beta16 and beta17 is the most stable ever. I can tell you even more. This betas is more stable than all previous STABLE versions of FDN.
During 3.03 beta testing we create a new good-looking design for FDN, add new smash functions and create a new, FDN4 beta4.
Today, 16.07.2008, we stop supporting for all version prior to FDN 4.0.
All our beta testers (we love them all, thank you very much for your assistant) already upgraded to latest FDN4.0 beta4. With more that 500 beta testers We can tell you, that new FDN4 is rocks !
It's fast, stable, good looking and more powerful ever.

Next week we plan to make a final release of FDN 4.0 (yahoo, yaba-daba-doo, hooray) and will ask all current users, with versions prior to 4.0 to make a mandatory upgrade to the latest FDN 4.0.

Starting from 1st. of August, only new version of FDN will work.

We MUST do thatm because there are many copies of FDN are still available on the net (even on rapidshare) we still have new users with version 1.09 ! To prevent users from using old and buggy versions we will do this unpopular step.

Great news from FDN Team, new beta4 is now support a Multi Threaded download. It means that you can download files faster, up to ten download threads per each file !
You can download it at http://filedownloader.net/fdn_3.03_b4_multi.exe
Simply save it to the existing FDN instalation directory, and run instead of you current version of FDN.

WARNING !!! You can continue download your existing files in FDN 3.0.3 Beta4, but you can't download the files started in FDN 3.03 beta 4 in previous versions. !!!
It means that if you wanna try - just go on ! But if you don't like the beta 4, you must finish current running downloads and only after that returned back to previous version.

All your current settings, download list and credits will not loose after upgrading to new beta 4 and downgrading back.

One of the greatest improvement of FDN 3.03 beta2 is really stable download process.
- Socket error fix
- Connection closed gracefully fix
- Slow and Buggy connection fix
- Improved Internet connection quality settings from 1(worse) to 10 (perfect)

Simply download if from here [ http://filedownloader.net/FDN303b2.rar ] and put in the same directory where FDN installed. Next time, when you start FDN, start this new .exe file instead of original.

We receive lot's of reports with the same error: file stop downloading with a status - Connection Closed Gracefully
The new version 3.03 beta have some serious fixes for that .
If you want to test 3.03 please let us know in icq or by email.

This version has absolutely the same functionality, more delicate internet connection aulity options (from 1 to 10) the same as we made in FDN_low version.

FDN_Low - Special version fog buggy connections

Last month, we receive a lot of email regarding buggy download speed, it seems that in most cases this problems have users with ADSL, VPN connections. And users with low speed less that 256Kbit connections. If you have unstable or(and) very low download speed using FDN, please try to use this new special version

Simply download this version and save in to your current FDN dir. Next time, instead of FDN.exe start this new FDN_low.exe
This version have absolutely the same functionality, except Account->Options->Connection-> Internet connection Type settings values. They looks the same but have different settings inside.

Please try to test FDN_low.exe with various Internet connection Type settings from Poor to Excelent. Every time, when you change this. You need to stop all actvie downloads and start them once again.

We would appreciate, if you drop us line with your current connection type and speed, and best connection type for you.

Пожалуйста попробуйте скачивание с разными настройками от минимума до максимума и выбирите оптимальную для Вас. Не исключег Вариант что новая версия не даст результатов или будет даже хуже чем оффициальная.

В любом случае, мы будет Вам очень признательны, если Вы найдёте время и напишите нам о результатах Ваших экспериментов. В письме обязательно укажите тип и скорость Вашего соединения, а также какая из настроек в FDN_low.exe дала Вам наилучший результат.

If you have problems upgrading to the latest version of filedownloader we have a simple and 100% working solution for you. Here it is step by step:
1. Exit from FDN application
2. Download fresh EXE from http://filedownloader.net/FDN205.exe
3. Replace your current FDN.exe (usually located at Program Files/FDN/fdn.exe) with downloaded FDN205.exe (of course you need to rename it to fdn.exe)

After it you will have the latest version of FDN - FileDownloader 2.05
